ABOUT US

Seeros Daycare nursery is a double story detached building based in central Rochdale. The building has three play areas dedicated facilitate the physical needs of children in different age groups. In addition to 4 classrooms for the different age groups we also have our very own bespoke sensory room.

Awarded “Good” by Ofsted in 2024 as we continue to develop the skills and knowledge of our staff.

Mission Statement

• Seeros Daycare will provide high quality daycare in a safe, caring, friendly and stimulating environment, in accordance with the Early Years Statutory Framework (EYFS).

• We will meet the needs of the individual child and support them to learn, play and develop whilst adopting British values.

• At Seeros Daycare we care for the children in an environment where learning is fun so that love of learning is the foundation for a child’s life.

• We provide an environment where children can develop life skills that will set them up for a life of success.

• We ensure nursery teams have the relevant support, training, and personal development to provide appropriate care to each unique child.

Ethos

• At Seeros Daycare we believe that every child deserves the best possible start in life and support to fulfil their potential.

• We embrace children’s desires to play and explore in natural and inclusive environments both indoors and outdoors.

• We provide a holistic child focused early learning setting that helps children to develop socially, physically, emotionally, and cognitively under the care and guidance of highly trained professionals and within a child-friendly environment. We use recycled materials wherever possible.

• We have created a setting where children are free to learn at their own pace and in their own way. We have high expectations of behaviour.

• Our pedagogy is ‘In the Moment Planning’, where all activities are child led with free access to open ended resources. We follow the child’s interests and build on what they already know, with the intent of closing any gaps in their development.

• We work closely with parents/carers who know their children best.

• We have strong connections with multi-disciplinary agencies, sharing information, who then support us to ensure that all children’s/ family’s needs are met.

• We are a fully inclusive setting free from any form of discrimination and we employ many bilingual staff to bridge any communication barriers with parents and carers of our provision.

• We proudly serve a diverse group of families and their children. We provide an inclusive and safe environment for children’s development and work daily to introduce them to the beautiful cultures that make up our community.

• We encourage children to develop the appropriate skills for the next few years in their lives, promoting independence, healthy lifestyle choices and oral health. We employ an inhouse chief to prepare fresh healthy nutritious well- balanced meals taking into consideration dietary requirements.

• We help children to develop the skills required to succeed in school.

• Through engagement with local schools, we make transition to school as seamless as possible which sets them up for success.
