RED ROOM

Babies 3 Months – 24 Months (approx.) Children will progress to Yellow if they exceed their developmental milestones

Our Baby room is set out on our ground floor with its own dedicated sleep area. The room has ample floor space to enable children to freely manoeuvre and play in all the areas set out in the room including a free flow walk-in sandpit, play dough area, black and white area, messy play area, treasure baskets area and carpet area. The staff carry out wellcome screening with the children to assess children’s’ speech and language skills as well as sing and sign activities.

The children in red room also have access to their own dedicated outdoor play area at the front of the building.

YELLOW ROOM

Children aged 24 Months – 30 Months (approx.)

Children will progress to Blue if they exceed their developmental milestones.

Once in Yellow room the children are more mobile and confident to freely explore the areas.

The room consists of the sensory area, construction area, creative area, home corner and small worlds area and they have direct access to their own external play area which offers an extension of learning opportunities.

The children have their own dedicated bathroom which has infant toilets and infant sinks enabling them to become more independent.

We also have nappy changing facilities. Whilst in this room staff work alongside parents to encourage children to become toilet trained.

The staff carry out welcome screening with the children to assess children’s’ speech and language skills as well as looking and listening, story and rhyme and golden rules.

BLUE ROOM

Children ages 30 Months – 36 Months (approx.) Children will progress to Green if they exceed their developmental milestones

Once in Blue room most children are toilet trained and are confident enough to access the washroom situated in the room. The children continue to benefit from spending time in our 5 areas of provision. Each day includes focus group time including letters and sounds, welcome, think equal, Blast and school readiness. Children are encouraged to become more independent during mealtimes.

GREEN ROOM Pre-School

Children aged 36 Months +

In this room there is a lot of focus on school readiness, whilst all the provisions of learning are easily accessible to all the children throughout the day. Staff carry out Blast activities, Golden rules/ circle time, looking and listening, think equal, elklan assessments, Lego therapy, squiggle while you wiggle, peer massage and emotion coaching, all of which help prepare them for school whilst working on their emotions and their PSCD.

SENSORY ROOM

Seeros Daycare nursery is a double story detached building based in central Rochdale. The building has three outdoor play areas dedicated facilitate the physical needs of children in different age groups. In addition to 4 classrooms for the different age groups we also have our very own dedicated sensory room “Good” by Ofsted in 2024 despite this we continue to develop the skills and knowledge of our staff.

The building has three outdoor play areas dedicated facilitate the physical needs of children in different age groups.
